AUDIO/VIDEO: Compared to other Dorcel feature presentations this is a truly bare bones version of said productions. While it includes the usual visual quality with the HD presentation, and accompanying widescreen ratio it fails to make the main menu inviting, or full of the extras that hardcore Dorcel fans expect. There is not BTS (behind-the-scenes) "Making of" feature to access, and as usual the main menu is crammed tightly together with sloppy audio, and subtitle options up front and center. It screams of budget crunch even with the superb video editing in place throughout the film. In the way of audio presentation I found the voice-over narrative to be too heavily accented, and quite annoying at times. It wasn't like other film's narratives in which the female voice actor was well spoken, and clear with the plot delivery. Thankfully though the provided spoken English, and the accompanying erotic soundtrack wasn't too bad.

Going into this film's provided viewing experience I expected better. I saw the cast of female performers on the cover of the dvd case, and thought that this might actually be a noteworthy addition to the Dorcel dvd library. What I saw instead when I watched it was the equivalent of a sexual Spanish soap opera with all the melodrama, and forced acting included. It was like "The Real Housewives" television show on fuck (as opposed to crack). Through some of the worst narrative voice-overs, and some of the worst acting in general Gazzman weaved a tale of a mature housewife who had, had enough of her cheating husband's ways. Upon catching her hubby's flirtatious advances with a certain maid (Victoria Summers) at the start of the film her assumptions were confirmed, and as a result she set out to fuck her cares away, literally. Brittany Bardot decided that she'd be the one ruling the roost from hence forward, and that she would dictate when, and with whom her husband could have sex. This included plenty of cock teasing, and the gifting of select women to him in a sort of peace offering for the fucking she intended to do outside of the marriage. While the title suggests a film full of swinging misadventures you'll find that, that is not what it's all about though. Brittany does end up ruling the roost, and getting into several threesome situations, but most of those said situations are without her husband. Thus making the swinging reference all the more irrelevant.

When Brittany Bardot's character first realizes that her husband is indeed cheating on her with the maid at the start of the film she fusses him out in a rather comical fashion only to let him fuck her up the ass, and tell him her lewd intentions afterwards. This leads to a follow-up swinger threesome with Cara St.Germain and the hubby, a poolside threesome for herself with two musclebound gentlemen, a threesome with one of her lady friends (Kira Queen) and a driver, and a final threesome for the husband with his maid Victoria Summers and Subil Arch. The sex, while intense, and often times hardcore left a lot to be desired. For one thing Brittany Bardot is one of the most masculine female performers I've laid eyes on. By that I simply mean she's the type of woman that has a body builder's physique. So much so that it almost negates her visual womanhood at times. This observation is likely the one key thing that kept me from appreciating the director's vision.

I just could not get that initial manly look of Brittany Bardot out of my mind. The fact that she was the focal point in every scene also kept me from enjoying the presence of the other female performers. I feel that Brittany was not the best choice for this film's lead female performer, and that with the added Spanish soap opera style antics it kind of left things in a really hot mess. I will say however that some of the contributing female performers such as Cara St.Germain, and Kira Queen did liven things up though. Even the last scene in which the main male performer got to bang away at Victoria Summers, and Subil Arch was notable.

CONCLUSION

In the end this film did little to impress me. The two lead performers were almost a joke with their acting, and Brittany Bardot herself was a distraction in a mostly negative way. I could not, for the life of me, get over how masculine Brittany looked at the beginning of the film. Sure, there were some points where her feminine charm showed through, but that first impression in that first sex scene was not a good one. At least not for me. The added fact that Brittany was made out as the film's focal point also lessened my opinion of the film. In most Dorcel films director's stray away from focusing so intently on one individual, but in the case of "My Wife is a Swinger" that was not the case. Furthermore the narrative voice-over which was telling the tale through Victoria Summer's perspective was so heavily accented, and crude that it took the usual glamorous delivery and did away with it.

I just cannot recommend this dvd. I had expected better, but it just did not deliver the quality Dorcel moments I'm usually in favor of.
