Out of the ten DVDs I received for review this one caught my immediate attention, because of the claim on the back cover. It stated that this was, without a doubt, the best film of the year. Needless to say I was interested. I was curious as to whether or not it lived up to this level of critical acclaim. I am long time fan of Herve Bodilis films, and to me he is one of the best directors in the industry, so I was hoping this would be a masterpiece as so stated. To that end though the film wasn't exactly perfect, but for the most part it lived up to the hype. I found 95% of what was shown was worthy of praise. The ending 5%, less so. Overall everything from the casting to the sets, and the editing came together in such a way as to be more rich in quality than anything I've seen mainstream Hollywood produce in years regardless of it's shortcomings. I know of many a director who could learn a thing or two from Herve Bodilis when it comes to production value, and this film is but another example as to the reasons why.

The film, as it were ...


Taking a different approach from the usual voiced over narration, director Herve Bodilis chooses to use various acts, and conversations between key characters (performers) to tell a tale. This tale, while very unique in it's own right, reminded me a lot of Stanley Kubrick's "Eyes Wide Shut". It harbors a similar underground sex scene that is not uncommon among Dorcel films, and takes the main couple showcased on a lurid journey of sexual enlightenment, empowerment, and liberation. The Thicc, and curvy Mia Malkova happens to play the part of the wife who is married to a helluva lucky guy named Frank. At the start of the film we find Frank, and Mia at a public rave party complete with a monkey masked DJ, flashy lighting, and plenty of party goers. Mia, being the jealous type that she is portrayed as within the film's context, notices Frank's wandering eyes at one point during their drinking session, and watches closely as his attention is stolen away by Clea (a friend of Mia's) as she bumps, and grinds with two male patrons in a seductive dance before them. Kind of like that meme where the girlfriend is looking accusingly at her boyfriend as he is looking back at another girl of interest. This sparks Mia's unnerved curiosity, and upon meeting Clea and her two boy toys in the establishment's restroom she begins to ponder how faithful Frank would be with such temptations so readily in sight.

A little further on Mia meets up with Clea at a coffee shop, and Clea in turn schedules an appointment for her with sexologist, Anna Polina. Anna, and her mature lady partner sets up Mia and Frank with an adult roleplaying experience meant to help with Frank's future straying. Frank, however, is pretty faithful throughout the film regardless of the women placed before him at the various "Acts" that the couple take part in. These acts, which are invitations to underground sex events with strangers, are where a majority of the action takes place. Scenes which are not inclusive of the initial bathroom threesome involving Clea, the lesbian twosome with Anna and a Russian girl, or the couple sex between Mia and her husband Frank. Past that the first act, which is a major plot point, has Mia becoming the unfaithful one with a guy who picks her from a lineup of lingerie clad girls after Frank was teased with the first choice. Mia takes on a proper anal reaming from the stranger's monster cock, and seems to enjoy herself after that initial awkward realization of her situation. From there the couple heads to a masquerade orgy in Venice where Anna, and company tries to give Frank his turn only to have Mia's jealous side shine through once again. Fortunately for Frank he stays faithful as his actions are broadcast to his betrothed via a tablet, and in seeing this Mia joins in to ease his concern, and allow him to enjoy the two girls that were assigned to his pleasuring beforehand. This turns into a full-on three girl on one guy deal with Mia once again being in on the affair. There's a triple dose of cocksucking, anal penetrations, and vaginal penetrations as well.

After both Mia, and Frank have their conclusion via said foursome the director extends the film to two extra instances of sex that actually detract from what would have been the best Dorcel film of 2018 had he left them out. These extensions of the masquerade orgy are short lived, and mainly include group sex. One girl, and a couple of guys each. It was alright for what it was, but stretched thin the more welcome portion of the presentation. If memory serves me well I think Clea also got a returning swingers role during the Venice masquerade earlier on, and it was enticing. In fact Clea, and the other female participant looked sexy with their masks, and matching lingerie on. The sex acts were as you'd expect from a swapping/swingers foursome, but done in a hallway with couches for positioning. It was on par with Clea's first encounters where two guys took turns about banging her in front of a urinal before depositing their cum on her ass cheek, and tongue.

Backing up to the Anna Polina lesbian encounter ...

This scene was one of the ones worth noting, and one I nearly forgot to mention. After having setup Mia to receive her first invitation prior to the first act, Anna is given a gift by her elder lady partner. That gift was a beautiful 22 year old Russian girl with light brown hair, and gorgeous blue eyes. While the sex between Anna, and this girl is mostly about finger banging, pussy rubbing, and breast sucking it's the performers that make it all stand out. Anna, and this girl, whom I'm assuming is Anny Aurora look amazing together. They are a complimentary pair, and fun to watch. With it being a daylight bedroom scene it is more intimate, and quite more alluring. It's one of my favorite scenes out of the film for said reasons.

The verdict ...

This film was cohesively chaotic. It had rhyme, and reason, but it was all over the damn place too ... in a good sort of way. Both in sexual encounters, and locations. One thing I always enjoy about films by Herve Bodilis is his ability to seamlessly piece his stories together in a truly rich way. It's like taking a tour through Paris, Italy, or Europe's most beautiful locations, and getting to see a proper peep show at the same time. Herve spares no expense on set pieces, or booked locations. His performers also always display prestigious attire, and costume pieces. It's these accents along with the lighting, and expertly placed camera angles that make the sex pop. The performers playing their roles are made all the more better for his understanding of how to put on a show.

As far as "Sex Games" goes it may not have been the award winning film the cover claimed it was, but it was darn close. I was actually beginning to believe it was until those final two sex scenes. That aside, the rest of the film was on point. It encompassed beauty in so many ways. Getting to see Venice, and Paris along with all the lavish estates was amazing, especially with how they captured the boat ride through the Venice canal. That and the masquerade setting was equally as impressive. The casting was also noteworthy. Anna returned briefly to shine doing what she does best. Mia Malkova also stole the show as the lead female talent. Constantly taking it up the arse, and showcasing her pleasure through those exorcist eyes. There were also some supporting girls who looked, and played just as professionally. I wish I knew who that 22 year old Russian girl was for sure, because she was smoking hot too. Lots to like. This particular DVD was not bad at all with all things considered, and at the discounted price I'd say it's worth a buy.
