If you choose to play the dvd as I did through a blu-ray player, and an HDTV you'll get a truly immersive pornographic viewing experience. It looks damn near blu-ray in quality by doing so, and will give you the best viewing, and listening experience possible. In regards to sound you'll find that the music is a blend of classical, and romantic tunes, and that the porn related vocals all play out as if you were in the room with the people who are having sex. SYNOPSIS

MAKING OF: Like other Dorcel "Making Of" video documentaries this one gives you a a director's perspective on what went into making the film. Through Franck Vicomte's commentary, and shared directing clips you are clued into his erotic vision, and are given insight on the cast, and crew who made it all happen. Performers get their time in the spotlight as does Franck Vicomte himself. It's one of those special Dorcel opportunities that make the dvds so worth it to porn enthusiasts, and avid porn collectors. For those of you worried about language barriers it does come with three different language oriented audio tracks including 'English', 'French', and 'Deutsch'.

TRAILERS (8): As with any Dorcel film you'll find intact here 8 video trailers, some of which you might have actually seen on other dvd releases from the same studio. Most of the time, as is the case with this dvd, you will find dvd trailers relating to the performers in this film, and some that have similar types of sexual subject matter. It's a good preview source for those looking to gain some insight on what else Dorcel has to offer.

CONCLUSION

I have to say that I highly respect the underlying message that Franck Vicomte seemingly included in this film. It's as if he were saying, as I've always believed, that the adult industry is not for everyone. If you have big dreams go for them. If you are looking for easy money, and an easy way out via sex that's not always the best answer. That's what I felt this film was implying. As a porn journalist I often times see girls in the industry doing it solely for the money, and not for the love of sex. This in itself is a tragedy in the making. In that respect I think this film, and it's underlying message is Awesome. At the same time though I feel that most of the sex scenes outside of Gina Gerson's were forgettable. Ava Courcelles, for example really let me down with her oral sex. Even Aleska Diamond did little to impress the audience in my opinion. Her "O" face always makes me want to crack up, btw.

As far as stars go it's a no-brainer. Gina Gerson stole the show in the two scenes she participated in, but in doing so left the other performers to trail in her success. With everything accounted for this was likely the worst put together Dorcel film project I've seen. The chemistry just wasn't there for a majority of the performers, and with Gina being the only worthwhile performer to watch it makes this dvd a highly questionable buy. At it's current price though "Ballerina By Day, Escort By Night" is not a terrible purchase waiting to happen, especially if you have fallen in love with Gina Gerson, and what she can do. If you are a faithful follower of her's you might actually consider adding the dvd to your collection. If you just want to see her scenes though you can get a membership to Dorcel's streaming site (dorcelvision.com), and view her scenes along with other fantastic Marc Dorcel films you might be interested in. As for me my end verdict is going to be the latter. Rent Gina Gerson's scenes, and be happy you got to see them. She is a sweetheart!
