Measure B & It's Potential Impact On Society As We Know It

The porn industry has been a major part of the everyday lives of countless Americans, Europeans, and Asians for many years. It has survived for as long as it has due to the first amendment rights of the constitution as well as the support it's loyal consumers/followers, and the law abiding producers/directors of such sexual oriented media content. Recently though a proposed bill called "Measure B" has been put into place to attempt to take away our freedom of choice. If you think this will only impact the porn industry you are sadly mistaken as it will eventually lead to the controlling/restricting of other forms of social life. Our social way of life as we know it is definitely being threatened at the highest level with this measure, and will not end with just the porn industry being put under a leash. If the measure were to be passed anything remotely sexual in nature depicting such an act as that which is in question (Sex Without Condoms) will be restricted from view from the public eye. Trust me when I say that the officials behind this measure do not have your best interest in mind. They are merely looking to gain your trust, so that they can tighten the reigns of society, and bring us to our knees before them.

Now for some sex talk ... It is no secret that porn is a well governed industry. The directors, and producers all do their part to bring to us quality entertainment while abiding by the laws set in place for adult entertainment industry. This means regular screenings, and health tests before each porn shoot as well as age verifications that are all kept on file by government officials. While there have been some slip ups in the past with health screenings these occurances have been few, and far between. You can bet your bottom dollar that a studio such as that of Playboy, Hustler, or even Marc Dorcel would go above, and beyond to make sure that their companies were not compromised by faulty tests, falsified documentation, or illegal activities. Aside from that they also know that if they were to slip up that it could cost them their livelihoods, and even land them some time in prison.

Getting down to the brass tacks ... What "Measure B" is intended for is basically to make these hard working (Yes the are hard workers) individuals, directors, producers, and performers lose their standing as an integral part of everyday life. Not only that, but the officials behind 'Measure B' also aim to ultimately make sex in general a taboo subject in any form of media. This in itself would have implications that would not only effect the porn industry, but all of society as a whole as well.  Like I said earlier the porn industry has helped the American society thrive economically, and is part of the reason the United States is still afloat as a country. You take that part of society, and media away, and a great portion of business will be lost. In turn with a further loss of major business opportunities the economic situation as we know it now will only plummet deeper into the financial depression status that it's already in. If we plummet deep enough all hell will eventually break loose, chaos will reign supreme, and perverts looking to get their jollies off will turn to different means to satisfy their sexual urges. You may think I'm joking, but look at the violence going on today. People are getting sexually assaulted, and even killed. There's not one day I haven't turned on the news, and heard about some sexual crime that has taken place in my state.

Moving on ... Sex is a huge part of what we are as people. It motivates us to find that soul mate. It leads us to earn our living in the world, so we can support the dream of a family. In the end it also begins the cycle anew with our children, and our children's children as they find their place in this world. Sex is the reason why we're here, and shouldn't be looked upon as a social disease, or a taboo subject. "Measure B" without a doubt aims to restrict the subject of sex in many ways, and make it taboo in the public's opinion in the process. Not only that, but the measure's purpose is even more sinister as it also aims to limit our free will. If sex is limited through "Measure B" then what will keep government officials from limiting such forms of media as "Rated R" movies, or things with a violent nature? You simply have to look just below the surface of "Measure B" to see what it's really capable of, and I hope that you do so before voting on the measure.

Now onto the "Safe sex in the adult film industry" discussion ...  How many every day people do you think adult film performers sleep with, and more importantly whom do you think they have sex with? Sure there's no doubt these hotter than hell porn stars/starlets have their fair share of sex partners, but the fact remains that their social/sexual interactions are exclusive. Only a select few ever get the opportunity to sleep with someone of such high social rankings, and most of the sex partners are screened performers from the industry itself. For example you wouldn't see Anna Polina (Marc Dorcel) having sex with an every day Joe like myself. As such the likelihood of the spreading of any STD (Sexually Transmitted Disease) is mostly confined to the performers, and the select few they associate with. Porn stars are a lot like movie stars in that they do associate with everyday citizens (for the most part). This is why "Measure B" puzzles me so much. If the measure were truly only intended for certain sexual interactions within the adult entertainment industry why would it be so invasively strict to the point that it affects free will? I think that the measure's primary intent is just a smoke screen to hide what it really implies which is the restriction of free will. You, of course can interpret it however you like though.

In closing I strongly urge you as a person of society to look beyond the sexual nature of "Measure B", and see it for what it really is which is simply a restriction on our freedom. I can't stress enough how serious this measure really is. Trust me when I say that if this measure is passed the future of our children will be at stake. If it passes you might as well kiss free will goodbye as it will no doubt perish over the course of time as well. Be smart, and vote "NO" on "Measure B".
